From Stray to Sofa

"My adoption process was very special because this was my first time EVER adopting a dog. It is something I’ve always wanted to do and this made my dog momma heart so happy! I also really appreciated that you weren’t turned away for living in an apartment or somewhere in general without a yard. [because I’ve heard that story many many times with people trying to adopt from rescues and shelters. I just don’t think that makes sense; a dog would rather live in a loving home without a yard, then be stuck in a shelter on a slab of concrete or be waiting to be euthanized.] And then also talking with his foster mom was amazing. She sent me videos and photo updates and kept me up-to-date on him before I actually got him which really just made the wait for him a little bit easier. And even though I had not met this dog in person when he arrived, I felt like I knew him. He was a piece of me and he was right where he belonged.
